Te whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity Beca is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Industrial team in Auckland. This role involves delivering mechanical and piping engineering design and work packages for large industrial projects across sectors including food and beverage manufacturing, minerals and metals processing, wood and fibre, energy, and water treatment. Lead mechanical and piping design work packages, including specification and integration of equipment for production, utilities, energy, water and waste systems on large industrial sites Deliver project engineering responsibilities across office and site-based environments, managing scope, cost, quality and schedule Work with site-based engineering and construction teams to deliver industrial capital projects Develop and document mechanical engineering solutions aligned to project and operational requirements across industrial facilities Working at Beca provides access to a multidisciplinary engineering business, allowing you to collaborate with technical specialists to support the delivery of complex and significant projects. You will have the opportunity to contribute to project delivery approaches and provide input into engineering solutions. Our Industrial team comprises of engineers, mechanical specialists, designers and project delivery professionals. You will work as part of a collaborative, supportive and fun team environment aligned with Beca's values. This is a full‑time permanent role (minimum 30 hours per week) with a salary range of NZD $100,000 - $140,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Ko wai koe | About you You will be a qualified and experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong focus on project delivery. To be successful in this role, you will have: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Minimum 5 years' relevant industrial mechanical engineering experience Experience delivering detailed mechanical designs in heavy industrial or processing environments Understanding of site-based construction and operational requirements Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work across multiple projects with differing timelines and deliverables How you work is also important to us.
