A Day in Your Life at MKS: As a Manager of Global Logistics at MKS, you will partner with Supply Chain, Distribution, Global Trade Management, Customer Care and other Departments to manage the domestic and international global logistics. In this role, you will report to the Director of Global Logistics. You Will Make an Impact By: Responsible for managing global transportation operations, carrier relationships, freight spend and mode optimization to ensure cost-effective and reliable movement of goods. This role focuses on transportation strategy, carrier performance, freight procurement, and logistics network efficiency. - Manage relationships with freight forwarders, parcel, LTL and couriers. - Oversee carrier sourcing, bid events and rate management. - Lead freight payment processes and freight audit programs to ensure billing accuracy and cost control. - Analyze transportation spend and identify cost-savings opportunities. - Develop and execute mode optimization strategies balancing cost, service and transit time requirements - Monitor carrier performance thru KPI's including on-time delivery, claims ratios, capacity utilization and service reliability. - Collaborate with procurement, planning, customer service, and operations teams to support transportation requirements. - Attend quarterly business reviews with carriers and logistics service providers. - Support continuous improvement initiatives related to freight operations and transportation execution. - Evaluate network routing opportunities and transportation efficiency initiatives. Skills you bring: 5+ years of global transportation and logistics experience 3+ years managing teams or leading cross-functional logistics initiatives Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or a related field Strong expertise in multi-mode transportation, carrier management, and freight procurement Solid analytical and financial acumen, including transportation cost analysis and budgeting Demonstrated ability to drive logistics cost savings and operational improvements Experience managing carrier performance, KPIs, and service level agreements Proven ability to collaborate across functions to support supply chain and customer requirements Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement Ability to travel as needed (approximately 10-25%) Preferred Skills: Demonstrated experience collaborating across supply chain, operations, and customer-facing teams Experience leading, mentoring, or influencing team members in a matrixed environment Exposure to change management initiatives within logistics or transportation operations Proficiency in data analysis tools, including advanced Excel (PivotTables, Power Query) Familiarity with freight audit and payment systems or transportation management systems (TMS) Experience developing and tracking KPIs to measure transportation performance Ability to analyze freight spend and identify optimization opportunities Working knowledge of mode selection strategies and transportation conversion analysis We are interested in a qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. However, we will not be sponsoring work visas for this position, at this time. Salary Pay Range: $ 109,750.00 - 182,900.00 per year. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role. Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
