Job Description: The applications team in the Microcontroller (MCU) Business Unit is looking for an applications/embedded systems engineer. A strong understanding of microcontroller architecture and its peripherals, practical experience with real-world application development using microcontrollers, as well as excellent problem-solving, debugging, and investigative skills are crucial for this role. The candidate will also need to have a systems approach, considering the microcontroller as a whole rather than just the sum of its parts. As an experienced applications engineer, you will work closely with the Microcontroller Architecture, Design, Validation/Test, and Product Marketing teams to develop datasheets and technical documentation, verify peripheral and application use cases on FPGA at the pre-silicon stage of the MCU development cycle, and develop application collateral and reference designs as part of New Product Introduction (NPI). Additionally, you will collaborate with the global Marketing/Sales and Field Applications teams to train customers on new products and enable them to successfully introduce their applications to the market. You will also engage with customer-facing engineering and quality assurance teams to assist in design wins, support end-product ramp-up, and assist with production activities. What's Attractive About This Opportunity: This position will allow you to actively contribute to the development of technical collateral based on the new 32-bit Cortex-M microcontrollers, alongside AVR and 8-bit PIC microcontrollers. You will broaden your knowledge of modern 32-bit microcontrollers and their functional modules. You will work on microcontrollers that support communication, functional safety, security, and edge AI features. You will also experience strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and other departments within the MCU Business Unit. We offer you a challenging and dynamic work environment with opportunities to make substantial contributions towards the success of our business and our customers. Key Responsibilities Include: Actively participate in, lead and contribute to cross-functional teams focused on New Product Development. Develop and write technical collateral such as Data Sheets, Application Notes, Technical Briefs and Technical articles for 32-bit Microcontrollers, AVR and 8-bit PIC microcontrollers. Develop application collateral such as code examples, demo solutions and reference designs for 32-bit microcontrollers, AVR and 8-bit PIC microcontrollers. Additionally, contribute to the development of application collateral for 32-bit microcontrollers using peripheral drivers and middleware libraries developed for the Zephyr real-time OS platform. Develop and deliver technical training (hands-on workshops, webinars, videos, etc.) to customers and field application engineers. Assist in customer design activities as needed, working directly with customers and field support team. Provide technical support during customer visits. Manage and coordinate multiple projects running simultaneously. Requirements/Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering, or Master's degree in Embedded Systems Design, with a minimum of 9 years of experience in the semiconductor or embedded field. The applicant should possess extensive experience in developing embedded applications based on 8-bit and 32-bit microcontrollers, using their development environments, as well as expertise in firmware development using the Em
