Lead valuation engagements from planning through delivery, including scoping, workplan development, and execution strategy
Manage and develop teams responsible for performing valuation analyses and producing client deliverables
Leverage Stout's proprietary, cutting-edge technology alongside traditional valuation tools and models to execute engagements
Review financial models, analyses, and reports to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality, while providing constructive feedback and development support to junior team members
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships while coordinating engagement teams
Conduct and oversee complex financial, industry, and market research
Analyze financial statements and related data to derive insights across multiple engagements
Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic initiatives and practice development
Monitor project progress, manage timelines, and communicate critical updates to stakeholders
What You Bring
5+ years of experience in portfolio valuation, complex securities valuation, portfolio management, or research, with exposure to venture capital, private equity, private credit, or asset-based finance
Bachelor's and/or graduate degree in finance, accounting, financial engineering, mathematics, or a related quantitative field
Strong command of financial modeling and advanced valuation methodologies, with a desire to continuously develop new skills and adopt emerging technologies
Deep understanding of valuation approaches for venture capital, private debt, private equity, and complex financial instruments
Advanced knowledge of economics, financial theory, and accounting principles
Demonstrated leadership and team management experience, with a strong track record of client service
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with client-facing experience
Advanced technical capabilities and a technology-forward mindset, including willingness to learn tools such as AI, Python, Tableau, or Power BI, alongside proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and priorities effectively
Professional designation (CFA, ASA, CPA, CEIV) preferred

As a Vice President, you will lead engagements involving the valuation of venture capital, private debt, private equity portfolios, complex securities, and strategic initiatives. You will manage teams, oversee the quality of deliverables, and serve as a key point of contact for clients.
