Job Description
Position Summary:
The Department of Statistics at Colorado State University currently comprises 19 faculty and over 50 graduate students, and has a network of faculty affiliates at nearby research agencies. Our faculty members have a wide range of expertise and are involved in various interdisciplinary graduate training and research activities.
The Department seeks applicants from individuals who are interested in obtaining postdoctoral research experience in the area of statistics and related areas. Individuals in those positions are expected to conduct a program of research in collaboration with one or more faculty members in the Department of Statistics and to teach a limited number of courses. A teaching load of one to two courses per semester is expected. The open positions are temporary. Annual terms and reappointment may depend on performance and/or the continued availability of funding. Salary Range:
$55,000 - $80,000
Essential Job Duties:
Essential job duties vary depending on the hiring laboratory and research program, but may include:
Conducting laboratory, field, or computational research activities
Collecting, managing, and analyzing research data
Assisting with experimental design and protocol implementation
Maintaining laboratory equipment, materials, and documentation
Contributing to manuscripts, reports, and presentations
Collaborating with faculty, staff, graduate students, and other research personnel
Specific duties will be defined at the time of hire by the supervising faculty member.

Supervision:
This position reports to a faculty member within the Department of Statistics. Day-to-day supervision and expectations are defined by the hiring faculty member.
