JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The Continuing Education Coordinator II collaborates with team members, coordinating program development, multi site operations, instructional readiness, and portfolio optimization for a diverse range of non-credit continuing education offerings. This position ensures high quality programming and facility operations across numerous staffed and non staffed instructional sites. The coordinator manages program viability and performance analytics; and upholds financial, operational, and regulatory compliance. Leads the design, development, scheduling, implementation, and evaluation of a diverse portfolio of CE programs, including youth enrichment, professional development, community partnership initiatives, and lifelong learning opportunities. 2. Maintains program relevance by reviewing market research, engaging community partners, and analyzing participation trends. 3. Ensures all programming aligns with college priorities and policies while supporting accessibility and equitable participation across a broad service region 4. Manages instructional sites where related programming is hosted; to include opening/closing facilities, preparing and resetting classrooms, managing signage and wayfinding, resolving basic operational issues, and maintaining safe, clean, and accessible spaces. 5. Manages instructor and supply coordination. 6. Optimizes the CE portfolio based on LERN-aligned best practices and internal benchmarks by introducing new programming each term, conducting systematic course reviews to ensure financial viability and community alignment, and implementing continuous improvement strategies. 7. Monitors enrollment and waitlist trends to expand instructional capacity and reduce unmet demand. 8. Conducts regular analysis of course performance metrics, including enrollment, cancellations, satisfaction, revenue, direct costs, operating margin, and net profit to discontinue underperforming offerings, reallocates resources to high demand programs, and supports sustainable pricing and scheduling decisions. 9. Recruits, onboards, contracts, and supports part time instructors. 10. Monitors program quality, compliance and accessibility. 11. Collaborates with the marketing team to produce promotional materials that are accurate. 12. Oversees the procurement, organization, and distribution of supplies for hundreds of continuing education courses across multiple sites. 13. Attends work activities or programs as scheduled or assigned. WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position will have M-F day hours, however will have to flex scheduled day hours to support evening, weekend and local travel requirements when needed. This is an on premise position at the Sarpy Center with travel to other campuses and centers as needed. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 1. Knowledge of continuing education and community-based programming principles and practices. 2. Knowledge of non-credit education policies, instructor contracting, and accessibility standards. 3. Fundamental knowledge of marketing, market segmentation, and program promotion. 4. Advanced knowledge of program planning and delivery across diverse subject areas. 5. Project management, time management, and organizational efficiency skills. 6. Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software. 7. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other college supported systems. 8. Excellent communication skills including active listening. 9. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 10. Ability to work well with minimal supervision in a team-orientated environment. 11. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 1. Bachelor degree in education, business, public administration or related field. 2. Two (2) years of experience in program coordination, adult education, or a related area. 3. Experience in a community college or continuing education setting preferred. 4. Familiarity with instructional design or curriculum development a plus. 5. Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience considered. 6. Will have to flex scheduled day hours to support evening, weekend and local travel requirements when needed. 7. Ability to travel between campuses for meetings or position responsibilities. 8.
