Oversee end-to-end production and warehouse operations (people, equipment, materials, methods, storage and internal logistics), ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.
Develop and execute production plans and schedules to meet customer demand and OTIF targets; manage shift planning, manpower allocation, and bottleneck mitigation.
Monitor production efficiency, OEE, yield, scrap, and cycle time; drive corrective and preventive actions to improve performance.
Implement and enforce quality control and regulatory compliance (SOPs, WI, SPC, traceability); support audits and CAPA execution.
Lead EHS practices: conduct risk assessments, manage permits, incident reporting, and 5S; ensure adherence to applicable Solventum and regulatory standards and internal specifications.
Implement and maintain SOX-aligned internal controls for production and warehouse processes; ensure control evidence and documentation are retained by policy.
Ensure inventory control and financial accuracy: organize cycle counts and annual physical inventory per policy; reconcile variances, document root causes, and execute corrective actions; approve and witness scrap/write-off disposal per procedures.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of MES/ERP postings (goods issue/receipt, WIP, finished goods movements); maintain BOM and routing integrity; coordinate with Finance on standard cost updates and production order settlement.
Build, lead, and develop the production team; set expectations, coach, conduct performance reviews, and establish skills matrices and training plans to strengthen team cohesion.
Provide strategic oversight distinct from other Production Leaders by aligning operations with business priorities, resource planning, and cross-line coordination.
Foster cross-department collaboration with Engineering, Quality, Planning, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to resolve issues and optimize production flow.
Lead daily tier meetings and Gemba walks; escalate issues, coordinate downtime responses, and maintain accurate production records in MES/ERP.
Drive Lean and Kaizen activities to eliminate waste; standardize work, improve changeover efficiency, and stabilize processes.
Manage 5S and workplace organization; ensure equipment readiness via preventive maintenance coordination; manage consumables and critical spares.
Uphold employee relations and compliance with labor policies; cultivate an engaged, safe, and inclusive team culture.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is a plus.
Over 5 years of related work experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proven experience in production planning, people management, EHS, and quality compliance.
Knowledge of internal controls and SOX requirements; understanding of inventory accounting fundamentals (cycle counts, variance analysis) and audit readiness.
Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills; capable of conducting operational and technical exchanges in both Chinese and English.
Proficient PC skills; familiarity with MES/ERP systems and basic data analysis.
Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen; experience improving OEE, yield, and reducing scrap and downtime.
Experience with ISO 9001/IATF 16949 or similar quality systems; audit readiness and CAPA management.
Familiarity with maintenance coordination, TPM, and equipment reliability programs.
