Additional Information
The candidate will primarily cover the library's front desk to provide support in areas such as computer and technical support, student and reference assistance, and material circulation. We want someone who is proactive and attentive, is warm and eager to greet and help students, and appreciates the value of the library.
Pay: $16.22 per Hour
Hours: 10am to 2pm, Monday through Friday.
Major Responsibilities:
Manage the circulation desk independently and with minimal supervision.
Help students find material within the physical and online library.
Use SirsiDynix Workflows to check materials in and out and to update patron records.
Assist students with computers, scanners, printers, and copiers.
Problem solve student issues and refer them to librarians when necessary.
Shelve and shelf read materials according to Library of Congress Classification.
Assist in processing new materials when they arrive.
Promptly answer the phone in a friendly and helpful manner.
Keep the library organized, clean, and tidy.
