About the role
As the Space Planner, in the Brand and Store Experience Directorate, you will play a role in delivering the commercial and physical estate strategy; building optimised space blueprints and developing space strategies through in-depth assortment and shop expertise. You will deliver sales and profit improvements through the planning and delivery of change to shop floor space to deliver the propositional strategy. You will realise the assortment and customer strategy onto the shop floor delivering customer centric adjacencies whilst supporting the business' design and omni-channel aspirations. You will take every opportunity to drive commercial return, deliver an outstanding customer journey and reduce working capital in the development of the space strategy and all projects. You will use your analytical and commercial skills to plan and optimise the best use of space to deliver profitability and a great customer experience. In addition to your contractual pay, any time worked between 22:00 - 06:00 will attract Night Premium at a rate of £5.25 per hour. This will also apply to existing Partners who have enrolled onto Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements. Expected salary up to - £56,000 depending on experience Contract type - This position is a 12 month Secondment/Fixed Term contract Working pattern/flexible working - The Partnership has adopted a hybrid working approach, meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs, whilst balancing the needs of the business. Within the Brand and Store Experience team, we believe in the power of connection, which is why our core office days are Monday and Tuesday. We typically aim for around three days a week in the office or visiting shops to allow for collaboration and attendance of key meetings. Location - This role is based at our London Head Office campus in Pimlico. Please note, any cost incurred as a result of travel to the office is the responsibility of the successful candidate. There is also a responsibility to visit our John Lewis branches when necessary and travel costs will be met in line with the travel policy. FYI - Interviews will be held virtually w/c 22nd June 2026
