  • Specifically, the Veterinary Services Supervisor:
  • Supervises the veterinary clinic staff and volunteers, monitors daily workflow and operations to provide high-volume exceptional care, efficiency, and time management. Responds to and consults with staff on escalated, complex, or problem needs within the clinic.
  • Schedules the veterinary services team to ensure efficient departmental operations, including the scheduling of relief veterinarians and relief technicians. Manages time off requests and approves timecards for biweekly payroll.
  • Onboards new veterinary team members to ensure integrity of internal process, assess skills, and identify training needs.
  • Performs any of the duties of a Registered Veterinary Technician as needed to ensure efficient agency operations.
  • Communicates regularly with various stakeholders including Shelter management, staff, and volunteers.
  • Provides input for onboarding, training and development of staff and volunteers, along with recommendations of volunteer needs.
  • Maintains data integrity for animal records and coordinates billing with Shelter Manager and Philanthropy Coordinator.
  • Coordinates scheduling and training of visiting technical students, veterinary students, and veterinarians.
  • Manages expenses as established in the Veterinary Services' approved annual operational budget, ensures accounts are paid promptly, reviews and accurately codes accounts payable, including all invoices and credit card statements, performs other administrative tasks, as assigned.

The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is $69,000.00 - $91,000.00.
