Description of Work The NC State Highway Patrol is seeking an enthusiastic team member to join our Personnel unit as an Human Resources Technician. The Human Resources Technician assists the Classification Manager with Organizational Management, Personnel Administration actions, and HR operations support for the North Carolina State Highway Patrol Human Resources Office. Salisbury Street Raleigh, NC 27610 Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Management of employee records and organizational structure and oversee automated workflows for personnel actions, such as onboarding, promotions, internal transfers, and separations. Manage personnel data is entered accurately and on time, in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. Maintaining and updating the organizational hierarchy within SAP HR creating, modifying, or deactivating positions, jobs, and organizational units. Monitor the integration between OM and PA modules to ensure organizational changes-such as departmental realignments or position reclassifications-are automatically reflected in personnel records. Leads audit preparation efforts by independently collecting, organizing, and submitting required compensation and time records, and coordinates with the LEO Compensation Consultant and Technician to ensure complete and timely responses. Analyzes audit findings and implements corrective actions. Coordinates and maintains documentation for HR processes, including onboarding, separations, transfers, promotions, suspensions, involuntary leave without pay, and dismissals. Management Prefers: Demonstrated experience applying and/or interpreting NC State Government personnel policies and procedures clearly and/or concisely. Demonstrated experience in a HR-Payroll system. Demonstrated experience conducting audits in compliance with HR and payroll data policies and procedures. Strong administrative skills, organizing documents and running reports.
