Position Information Hiring Manager: Director Department: Planning & Operations Department Overview The Planning & Operations ("P&O") Group drives planning, analytics, data management and technology projects while providing operational support for the Investor Partners Group ("IPG"), which has primary responsibility for all of Golub Capital's business development and client relationship management activities. The team possesses both a deep understanding of IPG's needs as well as a strong set of unique technical expertise. The Data Strategy and Analytics subgroup is responsible for making data readily available in order to empower and simplify the IPG's ability to make data-driven decisions. The team collaborates closely with other IPG Teams and Technology Solutions ("TS") to support the department in developing and executing plans in line with Firm objectives. Position Responsibilities This individual will perform sophisticated data analysis and develop automated reports for business stakeholders and leadership. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Driving Data Strategy and Analytics' initiatives and deliverables effectively as a project manager, ensuring alignment with department goals Managing the IPG Data Steward Team to ensure consistent execution of data governance practices and data stewardship responsibilities within core IPG systems (e.g., CRM) Owning data governance responsibilities such as data lineage, glossary term definition and tool implementation Serving as a primary partner to the firmwide Data Governance Committee Creating and maintaining documentation of data standards and quality metrics to drive accountability and awareness across IPG Implementing, monitoring and enforcing Data Governance Committee sponsored initiatives such as data protection and privacy procedures and document labeling standards within IPG Overseeing the data change request process and ensuring reconciliation SLAs are consistently met Creating and maintaining definitions of key IPG business terms in the firmwide data glossary, including running the annual review process, identifying gaps and overseeing new term submissions Identifying opportunities for data quality improvement and collaborating with colleagues and business partners to design and implement solutions Collaborating with internal teams to address data quality issues and support data governance projects that enhance data capture and integrity Partnering with report builders to ensure compliance with Data Governance standards for all new reports and customized data fields Building a detailed understanding of business processes and how data impacts business partners by proactively engaging with subject matter experts Candidate Requirements Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in finance, business, information technology, computer science, data analytics or a related field 8+ years' experience in database systems and financial data management, preferably in asset management Strong knowledge of relational databases, specifically CRM systems, data warehouses and SSAS Cubes Established track record of leading cross-functional data governance projects to identify and define critical data points and implement systems and stewardship procedures to capture and maintain them at a high level of quality Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting to an audience of senior leaders Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Black Mountain / Allvue, Wall Street Office and Power BI preferred Excellent attention to detail, analytical, problem solving and logical reasoning skills Ability to articulate complex concepts in a straightforward manner to business and technology stakeholders Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, manage time and priorities under pressure and meet deadlines Enthusiastic about working in office and creating a Gold Standard hybrid work culture Critical Competencies for Success Our Gold Standards define key behaviors and competencies across 4 dimensions: Leadership, Achieving Results, Personal Effectiveness and Thinking Critically.
