How do we work?
As our Staff Systems Administrator, you will be a part of the global Corporate IT team, where we are responsible for ensuring high availability, performance and security of critical internal systems.
In this role, you will:
Ensure high availability, performance, and security of critical systems
Lead design sessions, retrospectives, and driving automation initiatives
Evaluate emerging technologies and contributing to OANDA's technology roadmap
Mentor other systems administrators and running training sessions
Translate complex technical topics for non-technical audiences
Provide technical oversight on infrastructure projects
What skillset do you need to be successful in this role?
10+ years in systems administration (5+ in a senior/lead capacity)
Deep knowledge of Windows & macOS, networking (TCP/IP, SSL), and virtualisation
Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred) and hybrid environments
Solid Google Workspace administration knowledge
Understanding of IAM/PAM (SailPoint) concepts and practices
Familiarity with security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST) and disaster recovery planning
A passion for AI and its potential to transform IT operations
Excellent communication skills - you can make the complex feel simple
Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or equivalent experience (Master's a plus)
