1. Scope of Position: To coordinate, monitor, and maintain inventory accuracy by supporting material flow, cycle counting, stock reconciliation, receiving accuracy, and inventory control activities. This position works closely with Production, Purchasing, Shipping/Receiving, Quality, Finance, and other internal departments to ensure materials, components, consumables, and finished goods are available, properly recorded, and accurately maintained to support operational requirements and minimize production delays. 2. Key Responsibilities Monitor inventory levels and support the timely availability of materials, components, consumables, and finished goods required for production and operational needs Coordinate with Shipping/Receiving, Production, Purchasing, Quality, and other internal departments to resolve inventory discrepancies, missing documentation, incorrect quantities, or system transaction issues Perform regular cycle counts, physical inventory counts, and spot checks to maintain inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies Investigate and reconcile inventory variances, including shortages, overages, misplaced stock, incorrect locations, and transaction errors Audit ERP transactions and investigate root causes of discrepancies related to receiving, production reporting, scrap, transfers, and inventory adjustments. Assess, update and create inventory processes that will further strengthen the overall control of inventory in the plant Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure all transactions are completed in a timely and accurate manner Monitor critical stock items and communicate potential shortages, delays, or inventory risks to the appropriate program managers, supervisor, manager, or internal stakeholder Assist with setting up, maintaining, and updating part numbers, inventory locations, bin quantities, stock levels, and related inventory information as required Prepare and provide inventory reports, count summaries, discrepancy reports, shortage reports, and other inventory-related documentation as required Support root cause analysis for recurring inventory issues and recommend process improvements to improve inventory accuracy, material flow, and overall efficiency Maintain organized and accurate documentation to support inventory audits, customer requirements, quality requirements, and internal controls Provide support during quarterly and year-end inventory customer audits, internal audits, inventory clean-up activities, and special projects Track inventory accuracy trends and support corrective actions to improve inventory reliability and transactional discipline. Assist in identifying obsolete, excess, damaged, or slow-moving inventory and support disposition planning activities. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory control, material flow, warehouse organization, and operational efficiency. Provide back-up support as required and perform other duties as assigned. 3. Basic Requirements: Three (3) to 5 years' experience in inventory control, materials coordination, warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or a related position Experience working in a manufacturing, automotive, warehouse, or production environment. Strong attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy, deadline-driven environment Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external contacts to resolve issues Demonstrated ability to investigate discrepancies, follow through on issues, and escalate concerns appropriately Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and accurate data entry Experience using ERP/MRP or inventory management systems is considered an asset Basic understanding of inventory control, cycle counting, FIFO, stock reconciliation, material flow, and warehouse organization Ability to read and understand part numbers, quantities, inventory locations, labels, packing slips, and related documentation Self-motivated, able to work with limited supervision, and able to prioritize tasks effectively Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently Ability to work effectively in a busy manufacturing environment while maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and accuracy 5.
