Job Title: Vehicle Maintenance Trainer Job Status: Year Round Full Time Compensation and Benefits: Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $2,923.07 to $3,461.54+ biweekly amount, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience. Job Summary: Works with the Vehicle Maintenance Manager and Fleet & Transportation Senior Manager to oversee the strategic direction of the Vehicle Maintenance and Warehouse departments. Supervises the daily workflow of the Vehicle Maintenance Department, including the administration of all maintenance work, the communication and scheduling of work both inside and outside the department, providing staff with maximum safe equipment availability with minimized cost. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinate the development, implementation, maintenance, and integration of comprehensive technician training program. Develop training material by writing, editing, and making proposals to management. Develop the course material to implement a successful apprentice technician training program. Develop and update training courses as needed. Provide classroom and formal OJT to technicians. Instruct and directly oversee day to day training of apprentice technicians. Work to enhance a Preventive Maintenance Inspection, (PMI) program, Work Request Program, Inventory Control Program, and Safety Program to achieve timely, safe, and cost-effective repairs on Copper Mountain fleet by Copper Mountain's procedures, manufacturer specifications, and regulatory agencies. Identify hazards and safety risk assessments and develop training to reduce risks. Ensure effectiveness of safety risk controls and promote safety measures. Develop and maintain required and appropriate operational record keeping and information systems to ensure regular analysis and effective management of operations. Develop and maintain records of continued education training for all levels of technicians. Work with vendors to implement training offered for specific vehicles/machines. Update all training materials as necessary with new models, procedures, or standards. Train formal (machine specific snowcat, bus etc) required classroom and practical trainings and updates. Formulates, edits, and initiates maintenance procedures to ensure all necessary information is available to maintenance personnel and that they receive continued periodic and pertinent training. Update paper and electronic training files of each mechanic to reflect accomplished training. Provide training for internal systems used including work order systems, accounting systems and inventory control and ordering systems. Check for quality assurance of vehicles serviced and follow up with technicians. Assist in repairing and maintaining fleet vehicles. Maintain proficient understanding of risk management issues and communication of appropriate information to other Copper Mountain management staff for implementation. Coordinates training and safe operation training of mechanical, transportation, slope maintenance, heavy equipment, and departmental equipment to ensure Copper Mountain's employees are knowledgeable and safe in the use of Copper Mountain fleet vehicles. Research and establish innovative training methods. Organize training classes to maximize investment in our employees.
