Researching and developing design parameters, performance characteristics, and technical specifications of new products and components.
Guiding the evolution of the technical design, technical project planning, performance analysis, and development testing. Participating in supplier selection and capabilities assessment.
Monitoring, exploring, and testing new technologies, materials, and components to understand product or process improvement opportunities.
Constructing and fabricating prototype equipment; overseeing materials selection, process optimization and process yield, as well as reliability testing and failure analysis.
Collaborating with all functional areas, (marketing, purchasing, manufacturing) to provide a design solution that meets the requirements of the customer and dealer network.
Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering.
What you will have:
Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Basic requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably Mechanical, Electrical or Materials Engineering.
Pre-Advanced English

Advanced English
Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) processes
Knowledge of Caterpillar product structure and experience in 3D CAD software (Creo) and PLM software (Teamcenter)
Experience working within multi-disciplinary engineering teams and with quality and suppliers
Familiarity with automation, programming or scripting tools.
