Requirements
Master's degree or above in accounting or a bachelor's degree and five or more years of accounting experience.

The Calvin University School of Business is seeking an adjunct professor to teach ACCT 204: FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING, a four‑credit course that allows students to identify stakeholders in the accounting communication process and articulate how financial accounting supports the Biblical principle of stewardship. This course communicates how to analyze business transactions and identify the impact on financial statement components, evaluate the need for accruals and deferrals and make appropriate adjustments. Students will also gain introductory knowledge in preparing the balance sheet, income statement, statement of stockholder's equity and statement of cash flows. Students will demonstrate a working knowledge of excel to perform certain accounting/financial functions and be able to perform ratio and percentage analyses to assess an entity's financial position and performance.
This four-credit course meets during Fall and Spring semesters in 2026-2027 in the School of Business building. Class timing is scheduled for 8:00-9:05 am Monday, Wednesday and Friday in the Fall and potential flexibility in the Spring.
