Production Operator

About the role

Bega's Koroit site manufactures a range of dairy products including skimmed and full cream milk powders, buttermilk powders, milk protein concentrate, lactoferrin powder, retail milk powders, anhydrous milk fat, liquid cream and butter. The site produces a staggering 35 tonnes of lactoferrin extract annually. We have an excellent opportunity for a Production Operator to join the team. You will be responsible for ensuring all production functions are carried out in an effective, efficient and timely manner and for delivering product safely, of the highest quality, at the lowest cost, with minimal waste in the correct quantity when it is required. This role works on 12-hour shifts on a roster. This covers days, nights and weekends. Candidates must be available to work across these times. Forklift licence preferred, successful candidates will be required to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Safe setup and operation of all equipment in allocated area
• Report all safety, quality and environmental incidents and issues
• Accurate completion and recording of all quality, testing, and production related documentation
• Work effectively and efficiently to reduce downtime
• Collaboration with Cross Functional teams
• About you
• Previous experience in a Production Operator role, FMCG background desirable
• High level of computer skills - able to use different systems and switch between often
• Ability to work autonomously for long periods of time
• Strong ability to multi-task and manage stress level while getting the job done
• Forklift licence preferred or willing to obtain.
