The role also includes responsibility for supporting regional financial reporting and consolidation activities for the AMEA region, providing exposure to a broader international finance environment. What will you do Your key responsibilities will be: Financial leadership & R eporting: Lead all aspects of financial management , reporting, planning and analysis for the India business. Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and performance monitoring. Maintain robust financial controls, governance frameworks and risk management practices. Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and corporate reporting requirements. Corporate G overnance & Statutory responsibilities: Serve as an appointed Director of Svitzer's legal entities in India. Ensure compliance with the Companies Act and all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements. Represent the company with government authorities and regulatory bodies as required , including maritime and customs authorities. Act as an authorised signatory, in accordance with delegated authority, for company documents, statutory accounts, tax filings, banking documentation, and other legal and corporate matters. Review and approve statutory filings, financial statements, tax submissions, and other corporate documentation. Maintain strong governance standards and fulfil fiduciary responsibilities with integrity and diligence. Regional f inance p artnership : Support the AMEA Region financial reporting, consolidation, forecasting, and year-end reporting processes. Support quarterly sustainability reporting requirements across the Region Contribute to regional control framework initiatives and continuous improvement programmes. Coordinate external audits and drive timely resolution of audit findings. Partner with regional finance teams to strengthen reporting quality, controls, and governance across the region. People l eadership: Lead, coach and develop the local finance team. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders across the organisation . Wh o we are looking for You are an accomplished finance professional who combines strong technical expertise with sound judgement, leadership capability, and a hands-on approach. You will bring: A u niversity degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related discipline. A p rofessional accounting qualification (CA /CPA or equivalent). Minimum 8-10 years of progressive finance experience, including people leadership responsibilities. Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance. Proven experience in financial reporting, statutory reporting, budgeting, forecasting, audit management, and corporate compliance. Previous experience serving as a statutory Director is required . Experience supporting financial consolidation and reporting within a regional or multinational environment. Hands-on experience with ERP and financial reporting systems; experience with OneStream financial consolidation software is strongly preferred. Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics would be advantageous . Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distil complex information and communicate clearly and confidently with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management. Experience within maritime, transportation, logistics , infrastructure , or other asset-intensive industries is preferred but not mandatory.
