This leadership role is responsible for enhancing residents' quality of life through comprehensive assessment, individualized planning, and evidence-based recreational therapy services. The Recreational Therapy Supervisor assesses residents' leisure preferences and quality-of-life needs, develops and evaluates individualized plans of care, and determines appropriate services in accordance with professional recreational therapy standards. This position supervises and manages a multidisciplinary Life Enrichment team, including five Life Enrichment Specialists, two Recreational Therapists, and one Creative Expressive Arts Therapist. The supervisor provides staff with the training, guidance, and resources needed to deliver creative, person-centered programming that supports each resident's goals, abilities, and interests. Considerable knowledge of Therapeutic Recreation principles, philosophies, assessments, techniques and methods. Demonstrated experience in planning, organizing, implementing, and monitoring activities and programs ensuring they are person-centered and produce effective outcomes.
