The incumbent provides guidance and technical experience to ensure the safety and well-being of all department personnel during emergency and non-emergency operations. The position oversees occupational health and safety, assists in safety investigations, develops safety policies, issues bulletins, and serves as the department's liaison with external occupational health agencies. Work is performed independently under the direction of the Fire Chief and Deputy Chief and is reviewed through reports and results achieved.
