Engage in regular discussions with VCs regarding recruitment, volunteer engagement, service goals, compliance targets, and monthly metrics. Responsible for staff recruitment, ongoing management, and exit processes. Facilitate Annual Development Meetings with direct reports and provide regular performance feedback. Build relationships Build strong relationships with assigned Operational Managers to understand their strategic priorities and site requirements and meet regularly to assess volunteer team scope, explore new partnerships, and identify new service areas. Under the direction of the Head of Volunteer Services, develop an annual volunteer plan that aligns with HammondCare's Motivation, Mission, and Mission in Action. Be the key liaison for all VC issues within the assigned business area. Oversight of Volunteer Systems Ensure appropriate systems and processes are in place to support volunteer operations. Assess and mitigate risks associated with volunteer activities in collaboration with Quality, Safety & Risk (QSR) teams. Oversee volunteer-related complaints and performance management. Ensure compliance with Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme (ACVVS) requirements, including reporting and KPI management. Maximising the engagement of volunteers Support VCs in training, mentoring, and engaging volunteers. Ensure consistent communication and engagement initiatives for volunteers. Evaluate volunteer satisfaction and implement strategies to enhance retention. Represent HammondCare at events, conferences, and external engagements to promote volunteer involvement.
