We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Onsite Corporate Accountant to join our team. The Corporate Accountant performs duties related to the preparation of the Company's financial data, including, but not limited to, posting journal entries, performing reconciliations of account balances, and preparing financial statements, reports, and other schedules on a timely basis. This position will also assist with the accounting for fixed assets and leases. The Accountant will also work closely with the Accounting Manager, Controller, and other team members to complete additional tasks as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, and other duties may be assigned: Closing books for small companies, which provides general exposure to cash, A/R, accruals, debt, intercompany, income and expense and other broad aspects of accounting Fixed asset accounting, including coordination with the dealership accounting team Lease accounting Investments accounting Account reconciliation and journal entry preparation for cash, prepaids, investments, accruals and other accounts as needed Departmental financial reporting Assist with annual budget preparation Backup for cash payment application entries Business personal property tax filings Assist with special projects such as system implementations Maintains effective employee relations Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area Participates in required training Follows Safeguards rules and regulations. Demonstrates the Company's Core Values Complies with Company policies and procedures Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
