About the role

You will serve as the Transportation Site Manager in the Transportation Branch, Production Division, Public Works Department Newport, of Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Mid-Atlantic. This position may be filled as a temporary promotion or temporary reassignment. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Utilizing automated systems to facilitate data processing (Microsoft Outlook Knowledge, MAXIMO and SLCADA Knowledge, , Microsoft Excel); 2) Finding and implementing methods to improve productivity and quality of the transportation function & carrying out EEO policies (hearing and resolving complaints from employees, referring group grievances to higher levels; taking minor disciplinary measures such as warnings);3) Planning work for subordinates including setting priorities and assigning work of employees, counseling employees on work and administrative matters; interviewing and selecting candidates for appointment, promotion and reassignment. 4) Applying a comprehensive knowledge of pertinent regulations, policies, directives, and procedures concerning procurement of equipment and the application of CESE to meet the needs of a PWD Transportation Department.; and 5) Conducting studies to determine transportation service requirements for an installation.
