Vice President of Legal will serve as a senior legal leader responsible for the contracts team and corporate legal matters for Marathon Health. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Vice President of Legal will be a member of the company's Senior Leadership Team and oversee the company's contracts function. This role provides strategic and hands-on leadership for all aspects of contract drafting, negotiation, review and lifecycle management. The Vice President of Legal, Corporate partners closely with key business stakeholders to enable growth, manage risk and support operational excellence. Vice President of Legal, Corporate will also work cross functionally with teams across Marathon Health including Growth, Operations, Clinical, Product, IT, Marketing and People Experience to drive key results with respect to the company's strategic priorities. Kay Responsibilities include: Act as senior in-house legal advisor focused on business transactions and contracting. Responsible for drafting, negotiating and managing high-profile and/or complex contracts, and managing a team of contracts attorneys in support of the company's business and growth goals. Oversee the management of the legal team's contract templates and contracting playbooks. Drive cross-functional projects to support new sales strategies, product development and operational improvements; collaborate with all operational areas of the business to anticipate and solve problems proactively. Provide day-to-day advice on the management of the company. Advise leadership on client disputes and support the resolution of client disputes. Partner with compliance team to address evolving legal requirements. Proactively participate in the mentoring and professional development of attorneys and professionals on the contracts team. Oversee contract lifecycle management, including approvals, renewals, amendments, and recordkeeping. Track and analyze contracting trends, cycle times, and risk exposure; recommend improvements based on data and best practices. Perform other duties as requested.
