Recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, or Finance
Proven skills and experience in quantitative analysis and/or financial engineering skills in financial products and other asset classes including, but not limited to equity financial products
Attention to detail, collaborative, self starter, results oriented
Client-centric with effective communication skills and relationship building
Demonstrated learning agility - able to adapt quickly to changes
Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel
Demonstrated proficiency in prompt engineering and the practical application of AI tools to accelerate product development and rapid data analysis
Nice to Have(s):
Securities industry experience, including trading, technology and related functions and knowledge of how broker/dealers, buy side firms, traders, analysts, advisors, retail investors and other industry stakeholders utilize products from TMX
Salary Range: 35/hour - 40/hour CAD

TMX Datalinx falls under the Global Solutions, Insights & Analytics business line. Trading activity on TSX, TSXV, Alpha, and MX generates a stream of real-time data reflecting orders and executed transactions. This stream is supplemented with value-added content (e.g., dividends, earnings) and packaged into real-time market data products delivered to end users globally, either directly or via Canadian and global redistributors. Headquartered in Toronto, TMX Datalinx maintains sales offices in London, New York, Chicago, and Hong Kong.
Product Management at TMX Datalinx
The Product Management function of TMX Datalinx is responsible for ideating, developing, and executing on products and product strategies that will defend and grow revenue. This includes identifying the global addressable markets, gathering and prioritizing customer requirements, leading a seamless development process across stakeholders, designing compelling pricing, packaging, and distribution strategies, and working closely with technology, marketing and sales teams in execution and delivery.
The Product Analyst (1 year contract) will work across all product lines and partner with the Product Manager in strategy, product planning, product design and go-to-market execution.
This role reports to: Product Manager
This role is hybrid ( 3-4 days /week in the office) - based in Toronto, ON.
Key Accountabilities:
Partner with TMX Datalinx Product Managers in brainstorming, designing, developing and executing a strong suite of successful TMX Datalinx products including:
Creating discovery cases through client feedback
Defining product and business requirements and translating these to product specifications
Partnering with technical delivery teams
Developing pricing, marketing and sales strategies
Communicate the Core Product Road Map and current product offerings to key strategic clients
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
Generate insights to inform decision making from existing data - e.g., sales, operations pricing, customer segmentation, etc.
Supporting new product analysis and launches
Prepare reports based on data & insights and present to the Core Product Team and TMX Datalinx leadership
Identify and define new process improvement opportunities across Datalinx sales, product and operations teams
