What You Do What You Do The Benefits Specialist supports the administration, communication, and continuous improvement of competitive company benefit programs to ensure team members clearly understand and effectively utilize available benefits. This role partners with internal teams and external vendors to maintain accurate benefit administration, support team member engagement, and ensure programs align with business and organizational needs. The position supports a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment and works collaboratively with domestic and international partners. As a part of the above, and on an ongoing basis will also: Administer company benefit programs and serve as a primary resource for team member benefit questions and support Lead new hire benefits orientation sessions and enrollment processes Support annual open enrollment planning, communication, and implementation Assist team members with all benefit programs including medical, life, wellness, retirement, tuition reimbursement, and vehicle purchase programs Monitor benefit file feed data and integrations between HR systems and benefit vendors (Workday, PlanSource, UKG, The Standard, etc.) Monitor data accuracy and assist with benefit analysis, and projections, and reporting to direct and executive management teams. Ensure timely creation of benefit invoices, purchase orders, and budget Support benefit vendor and broker relationships and coordinate resolution of benefit administration issues Assist with monitoring vendor performance and ensuring compliance with benefit plan administration requirements as well as any state and federal requirements Develop and deliver clear benefit communications and education to support team member understanding and participation Partner with the Health & Wellness vendor, Positive Employee Relations (PER), Safety Security and Environmental (SSE), and Team Member Relations (TMR) to promote preventative care and wellness initiatives Partner with internal departments and management teams to provide seamless benefit support to team members Collaborate with domestic and international partners from Mazda, Toyota, and other organizations as needed Contribute to a positive team member experience through strong communication education, and relationship building Perform other duties as assigned Ability to support business needs outside of typical business hours and travel domestically or internationally as needed What You Bring High School Diploma or GED Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Strong analytical and presentation skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office What Will Set You Apart Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field, or equivalent work benefits administration experience (1-3 years) Experience with HRIS systems such as Workday and benefits administration platforms Experience in automotive manufacturing or large manufacturing environments PHR certification
