Monks is looking for a Senior Technical Artist to join our team. This role focuses on pipeline development, shading and artist support, acting as a bridge between artists and our Unreal Engine pipeline. You will play a key role in ensuring that art content and features are seamlessly integrated into the engine while maintaining the project's artistic vision and respecting technical constraints. Role & Responsibilities Work with generalist to create 3D art and bring it into the engine Support artists in using the 3D art pipeline and user-facing engine tools Collaborate with artists to create high-quality 3D assets with a strong emphasis on materials, shaders, and surface realism Review creative workflows and identify opportunities for tool and pipeline improvements Develop Unreal Engine art pipeline tools and extensions with a focus on usability and efficiency Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues within the Unreal Engine asset pipeline Work closely with artists and QA to diagnose and fix production challenges Ensure documentation is accessible and up to date for artists and technical teams Help inspire and empower the art team to optimize their workflows and processes
