We are seeking a proactive Rock Tools Operational Field Support Technician to drive product and customer service-focused activities. This includes identifying new service opportunities and upcoming projects, supporting trials and quality audits, leading carbide recycling initiatives, and providing higher-level technical coaching and training to less experienced team members. The Rock Tools Operational Field Support Technician serves as a key field driver, implementing on-site tactics to sustain and grow the business from both a technical and service perspective. Key Responsibilities Include: Assisting customers and sales teams with troubleshooting and process improvements. Supporting the delivery of training for internal and external users, including the development of training materials. Assisting with the testing and validation of R&D designs for rock tools in mining applications. Collaborating with Product Application & Services Specialist and Product Line Development teams to improve product performance and support new technology development. Actively supporting on-site technical consulting to optimize drilling operations. Preparing technical reports and managing field tools. Assisting in the development of technical documentation and tools to support frontline teams. Sharing product knowledge across the business by serving as a subject matter expert in assigned areas. Conducting field trials, tool selection, and customer audits, and providing recommendations. Evaluating improvement opportunities and driving brand loyalty across Rock Tools. Carrying out and supporting Tools Sales & Support Representative's defined tasks and contributing to the professional development of team members. Traveling locally and internationally as required for business needs and customer site engagements, working with key stakeholders as part of multidisciplinary teams. Adhering to all Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality policies and requirements. Qualification & Competencies Minimum HND/Undergraduate in Mining/ Mechanical Engineer/ Trade Experience Excellent communication and presentation skills Practical experience in the field Ability to work as a member of a multi-discipline team and provide guidance to members of the team Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Familiarity with contracts, customer support and production processes in both mining and construction Valid driver's licence with the ability to drive.
