The successful candidate will play a hands-on role in supporting a wide range of experimental research and instructional activities, while also helping maintain a safe, organized, and high-functioning laboratory environment. JOB DESCRIPTION Essential Duties: Support the operation of the water chemistry laboratory by maintaining instrumentation, preparing materials and reagents, overseeing laboratory organization, and assisting with experimental design, data collection, and analysis for research and teaching activities. Work closely with faculty, graduate students, and undergraduate students to facilitate laboratory-based courses, research projects, and project-based learning experiences. Train students in laboratory procedures and safety practices. Ensure compliance with university and regulatory safety protocols. Manage laboratory supplies and inventory. Coordinate equipment maintenance and calibration. Assist with documentation for research and lab operations. Depending on qualifications and interests, the candidate may also contribute intellectually to ongoing research efforts and help shape new experimental directions within the department.
