About the role
The Material Handler / Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating stand up forklifts to transport, load, and unload materials within warehouses, production areas, or shipping docks.
Responsibilities
- Operate a stand-up forklift truck in a warehouse environment with pedestrians and other forklift trucks
- Keep the order picking lines operational with timely product restocks
- Accurately receive and safely put away inbound finished goods and supply deliveries
- Track inventory with RF scanners and Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Ensure proper stock rotation and First-In First-Out (FIFO) process
- Train on the Burr Ridge receiving process
- Experience & Skills we value:
- High School diploma, GED, or other relevant work experience
- Minimum 1 year prior experience and certification on a forklift
- Experience safely operating a stand-up forklift a plus (will train on-site)
- The ability to lift and/or carry up to 50lbs of materials
- Nice to have and/or you'll learn:
- Lean Manufacturing experience (5S / Six Sigma)
- Experience working with a WMS, ERP, or other inventory management system
- OSHA or other formal safety training

- Base Pay range for this position:
- $23.40 per hour
- The final discretionary compensation that will be offered for this role depends on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.

- This position requires current authorization to work in the United States. We do not provide visa sponsorship, including support for F-1 Optional Practical Training (OPT), STEM OPT extensions, or other temporary work authorization programs.
