Design, develop, and maintain core components of the Interhaptics haptic
engine
Own features end-to-end, from architecture and implementation to testing and
optimisation
Build scalable software abstractions to support both existing and upcoming
haptic devices
Implement high-performance, real-time haptic rendering and playback systems
Optimise system performance and minimise latency across desktop, mobile,
and console platforms
Collaborate with multiple internal teams to ensure seamless integration within
the broader ecosystem
Contribute to SDKs, APIs, and developer-facing tools
Troubleshoot and resolve complex cross-platform and cross-device issues
Pre-Requisites :
Strong professional experience in software development, with a focus on
performance-critical systems
Proficiency in C/C++
Experience designing and implementing robust, maintainable software
architectures
Solid understanding of multithreading, real-time systems, performance
optimisation, and debugging
Ability to work autonomously, take ownership of projects, and proactively drive
technical solutions
Comfortable collaborating across multiple teams and disciplines within a large
organisation
Requirements
Experience with haptic systems, real-time engines, or interactive technologies
Experience working within multi-device or hardware-integrated ecosystems
Familiarity with Unity, Unreal Engine, Android, iOS, or console development
Knowledge of device communication standards (USB, HID, Bluetooth, etc.)
Interest in immersive technologies, sensory feedback, or human perception
