What's the role
Shell LNG Marketing & Trading (SLMT) is the global leader in LNG trading, with the Commercial Freight Operator positioned within the operations arm of Shell Trading. Shell's LNG Operations is the largest in the industry, spanning supply projects in both the Atlantic and Asia-Pacific basins, and serving customers across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and South America. This high-value trade is rapidly evolving, with a dynamic mix of long- and short-term contracts.
Commercial LNG Operations provides essential commercial, logistical, and administrative support to Shell Trading. They ensure the timely execution of freight and commercial transactions, meeting all obligations from LNG contracts and Time Charter Parties (TCP). The team collaborates closely with Freight Traders and Optimization Traders to maximize value through economic and optimization strategies, minimizing profit leakage from the flexibility and optionality in LNG contracts and supply programs. They are also involved in developing new projects and contracts. Due to the nature of physical trading operations, working outside regular office hours is often required.
