Chemours is seeking a Sales Director to join our growing Advanced Performance Materials, APM, team. This role involves closely our joint venture Chemours-Mitsui Fluoroproducts Co., Ltd., MCF, therefore this position will be available at the Chemours Kabushiki Kaisha in Minato-ku,Tokyo , and the MCF in Shimizu-shi, Shizuoka , and report directly to the president of Chemours Japan/MCF. Primarily responsible for overseeing the entire MCF APM sales division and achieving sales targets in Japan. Manage the sales team and be responsible for the revenue they generate. Oversee sales policies and programs to achieve sales and profit targets in Japan. Promote the products and/or services and possess a deep understanding of the products, regulations, and market they offer. The role will work closely with Supply Chain, Marketing, Product Management and Finance to meet customer requirements while balancing company needs. The successful candidate will be able to effectively manage day-to-day responsibilities and consider long-term strategic goals of the Japan/global business. Provide coaching as a role model/mentor to team members. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: Formulation and execution of mid- to long-term strategies for the APM business division Setting and management of APM business objectives and strategies Formulation and execution of sales strategies Guidance on key raw material procurement policies, R&D resourcing, and key programs Guidance on asset and capital strategies Strengthen relationships and engagement with key customers Annual budget management, sales strategy management, and investment project management in the formulation and execution of business strategies Zero compliance issues and ethics incidents Planning and execution of initiatives to improve GTPW Strengthen organizational capabilities of each department/group and succession planning Formulation and execution of business strategies in response to changes in the market environment (including strengthening end-user engagement and acquisition of subsidies) Internal and external responses in a business environment where environmental regulations have a significant impact Change management in line with changes in the business environment, as well as coordination with internal and external stakeholders, including both parent companies The following is required for this role: Min 15 to 20 years of international experience in the Chemical or related industries 10 + years of Sales Management experience and managing distributors Track Record in leading teams and projects Strong desire for challenging scenario Results Driven, risk friendly, energetic, business minded Advanced level of English and Japanese proficiency
