About this roleWhat a day of a Client Technology Assistant I looks like:Assists personnel with operating office equipment such as personal computers, printers, copying machines, and software programs.Provides instruction on multimedia equipment and systems. Trains users in the operation of new or modified systems and programs. Assists students and faculty with research and location of media materials.Operates closed circuit television system. Assists with video, audio productions and teleconferences, as required.
Responsible for providing operational and clerical support to include managing telephone calls, making photocopies, scanning, and processing purchase order requisitions. Maintains, organizes, and distributes files and manuals.
Assists students and college personnel in proper procedures and practices related to multimedia equipment and services. Provides interim status reports on customer requests, as applicable. Provides general customer service activities and responds to complex inquiries.
Gathers routine information from or makes requests of other administrative, maintenance or clerical employees and outside vendors, customers, or the public.
Plans, administers, conducts inventory, and replaces or purchases office supplies, equipment and materials as needed.
Performs regularly scheduled maintenance on equipment and machinery.
Receives and distributes incoming correspondence and deliveries. Prepares and processes outgoing mail.
Maintains and controls records to include databases, logs, cost records, and general records. Does not include bookkeeping. Generates reports and inputs spreadsheet data entry.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED
One year of related experience
Knowledge of:
Microsoft Office Professional or similar application
Skilled in:
Delivering a high level of customer service
Attention to detail while maintaining effective time and task management
Ability to:
Effectively communicate verbally and in writing on a regular basis with internal and external customers, build relationships, manage customer expectations, and take responsibility for a high level of service
Set-up and operate multimedia equipment
Licenses, Registration, Certifications, or Special Requirements:
Regular physical attendance required
Preferred, but not a must:
Ability to troubleshoot general software and hardware
Knowledge of PA systems, A/V and multimedia systems, and computer technology
Work Environment and Physical Demand:
Lift, carry, push, pull, install, or remove objects weighing 20 to 49 pounds
Reach and grasp objects
Stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Use of video display terminal
Use of manual dexterity and fine motor skills
Communicate information orally and in writing
Receive and understand information through oral and written communication
Proofread and check documents for accuracy
The minimum base pay for this position starts at $16.51 per hour; however, the offer may vary based on the candidate's education and experience.
