Job Description Summary: The physician assistant or nurse practitioner with RNFA certification works in collaboration with physician(s) in the operative department serving as a first assist in a variety of specialties. Role is M-F with night/weekend/holiday call requirements. Responsibilities And Duties: Works under direction and in consultation/collaboration with physician. Assesses and evaluates patients, H&Ps, orders and interprets diagnostic tests, etc. Assists in diagnostic and invasive procedures. Pre-operative and post-operative care, writes orders, discharges, etc. Promotes quality outcomes and initiatives. In the hospital the PA needs a Supervisory Physician Agreement submitted to the Medical Board of Ohio yearly review w Practice to submit to State Medical Boar d . Practices within applicable state laws, appropriate boards, and in accordance with his/her supervisory agreement and delineation of privileges.
