Ideal candidates will have: A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field Solid experience as an HR Generalist Familiarity with Workday or similar Human Capital Management (HCM) systems Minimum qualifications for an HR Generalist I: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and no prior HR Generalist experience required. We have multiple opportunities for Human Resources Generalists at all experience and skill levels. These positions, located on-site at our main campus in College Station, Texas , are integral to the success of service-oriented, people forward changes. The HR Generalist provides comprehensive Human Resources and Payroll support by creating, posting, and processing personnel actions in Workday and related systems. This role is responsible for maintaining personnel records, processing payroll, and preparing HR documents for approval and processing as part of daily operations. The HR Generalist ensures timely and accurate entry of all Workday transactions while maintaining compliance with University, System, State, and Federal requirements. In addition, the role processes a variety of personnel actions, provides status updates to departments, and serves as a subject matter resource for leave and absence, TrainTraq usage, classification actions, and performance management. If you are already a Human Resources Professional with broader experiences, your responsibilities include providing guidance on university, state and federal rules, laws and requirements for Human Resources and Payroll. Providing feedback and working with Central HR to develop and amend policies and processes and providing training, mentoring and team leadership will allow you to contribute at your level of expertise. You will acquire and maintain your expertise in Human Resources laws, regulations and guidelines. This position requires compliance with state and federal laws/codes and Texas A&M University System/TAMU policies, regulations, rules and procedures. All tasks and job responsibilities must be performed safely without injury to self or others in compliance with System and University safety requirements.
