Demonstrated experience in business development, including meeting or exceeding sales or growth targets
Experience managing client relationships and providing advisory services
Ability to negotiate financing terms and present credit proposals
Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
Bilingualism in French and English
Established professional network within the London business community
Experience working with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with revenues between $3M and $50M

POSITION OVERVIEW
BDC is the only bank dedicated exclusively to Canadian entrepreneurs. As a Senior Commercial Account Manager, you will develop new business and manage an assigned portfolio of clients with annual revenues between $3M and $50M. You will deliver financing solutions and advisory services that support business growth. Your work contributes directly to the success of Canadian businesses while working in an environment where you can be yourself.
CHALLENGES TO BE MET
Meet with entrepreneurs to assess business needs, challenges, and opportunities, and recommend relevant BDC financing and advisory solutions
Execute an action plan aligned with the Business Centre's objectives, including portfolio growth, client retention, and new client acquisition
Build and maintain a pipeline of business opportunities through prospecting and referrals
Review, structure, negotiate, and present financing proposals while applying sound credit judgment
Maintain an active presence in the local business community (e.g., London market), leveraging a network of Centers of Influence (COI) to generate referrals and partnerships
Manage ongoing client relationships, ensuring service quality and identifying additional business opportunities
