Assist with the design, maintenance, and optimization of refinery electrical equipment and power distribution systems.
Support electrical engineering activities for routine operations, reactive maintenance, and unplanned work.
Contribute to small capital and expense projects, including design implementation, cost estimation, and scheduling support.
Help troubleshoot electrical system issues to improve reliability, efficiency, and equipment performance.
Participate in equipment, system, and process risk assessments to identify and mitigate operational hazards.
Support turnaround planning, scope development, and execution activities for refinery electrical systems.
Assist with documenting electrical system configurations, operating procedures, and troubleshooting practices.
Collaborate with senior electrical engineers to develop technical knowledge of industrial power systems and automation controls.
Participate in HSSE initiatives, incident investigations, and compliance activities to maintain a safe work environment.
Engage in training and development programs to build engineering skills and refinery process knowledge.
Experience and Qualifications:
Requirements
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering by May 2026
Cumulative 3.0 GPA, or higher
Excellent organizational and planning skills
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Effective communication with all levels of organization
Effective teamwork in cross-functional situations
1-3 years of Electrical Engineering experience
Proven leadership and/or participation in extracurricular activities
Physical Requirements:
Physical ability to work around and on industrial equipment, including frequent climbing of stairs and ladders
Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas (respirator, hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, heeled boots, and hearing protection)
