As a Senior Product Manager, you will drive the development of cutting-edge meteorological forecasting systems that process complex weather data to generate life-saving forecasts and warnings. You'll work at the intersection of meteorological science, aviation safety, and digital innovation to ensure Singapore maintains its position as a leading aviation hub whilst protecting public safety. Join us as we support Singapore's vision of building a Smart Nation - a nation of possibilities empowered through info-communications technology and related engineering, specifically within Meteorological Services Singapore's critical mission to provide accurate weather forecasting and warnings that protect lives and support Singapore's aviation industry. You will be involved in planning and executing the full product lifecycle for meteorological forecasting systems, including: Crafting Custom Experiences for Meteorological Users Engage with meteorological forecasters, aviation authorities, and regional meteorological agencies to establish clear product visions for forecasting tools and systems Collaborate with the aviation community, flight planners, and international meteorological networks to define product requirements that meet WMO standards and aviation safety protocols Work out product outreach strategies with aviation stakeholders and regional meteorological partners Define go-to-market strategies for new forecasting capabilities and digital forecasting tools Designing and Testing Meteorological Solutions Design, test, and iterate forecasting workflows and digital tools that enhance meteorological forecasters' capabilities Manage product budgets for meteorological software, hardware, and specialised weather forecasting systems Develop workplans with meteorological technicians and forecasting teams Procure specialised meteorological software, weather data processing systems, and aviation weather services Understanding Meteorological and Aviation User Needs Conduct user studies with meteorological forecasters, aviation planners, and regional meteorological agencies Analyse weather data usage patterns and forecasting accuracy metrics to inform product decisions Research international meteorological practices and emerging weather forecasting technologies Translating Meteorological Requirements into Technical Solutions Convert complex meteorological and aviation requirements into actionable technical specifications Support development teams in understanding meteorological data formats, WMO standards, and aviation weather protocols Evaluate weather data processing solutions and forecasting model integration options Driving Adoption Across Aviation and Meteorological Communities Drive adoption of new forecasting tools among internal meteorological staff and external aviation users Maintain networks with ICAO, WMO, regional meteorological centres, and aviation authorities Participate in meteorological conferences and aviation forums to promote Singapore's forecasting capabilities Ensuring Meteorological Compliance and Safety Ensure products meet WMO standards, ICAO requirements, and aviation safety protocols Coordinate with international meteorological networks for data exchange compliance Maintain 24/7 operational readiness for critical weather warning systems Essential Requirements: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or related field with minimum 5-7 years of relevant product management experience Prior working experience in technical product management, preferably in data-intensive or mission-critical systems Experience working directly with engineers, designers, and cross-functional teams (ideally at least 3 years) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work with complex technical requirements Excellent communication skills with ability to translate between technical and business stakeholders Experience with modern product development practices (Agile, Design Thinking, Product-Centric Development) Ability to manage products that serve both internal technical users and external professional communities Strongly Preferred:
