Coordinate all recruiting efforts from screening and interviewing applicants to extending job offers to meet the production needs of the plant.
Guide Team Leads and Team Members through employee concerns, performance management, skill development, general morale, discipline and other employee relation matters
Serve a strategic business partner, understanding people priorities and perform as a key member of the team to assist in driving business results.
Lead HR programs such as objective setting, performance and talent management and compensation management across the business.
Participate in monthly business review and report on key HR metrics such as turnover, absenteeism, headcount etc.
Build strong, respectful relationships across the plant to support a positive employee experience
Lead consistent application of HR polices and audit processes to maintain compliance with employment laws
Oversee core HR processes including leave programs, recruitment, benefits coordination, HRIS accuracy and file integrity
Conduct new hire and benefits orientation as well as onboarding activities for new hires
Ensure site communication plans are in place, for example All Hands Meetings, newsletters and Yo Deck slides
Manage corporate HR functions as assigned (i.e. unemployment claims, worker's compensation, leave of absence, employee assistance and recognition)
Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws (OSHA, FMLA, ADA)
Consistently interact with TM's regarding benefits, compensation, training and development needs
Act as a facilitator for conflict resolution issues, coaching and guiding TM's facing personal and professional challenging situations
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organization Development or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5 years of Human Resources experience in an HR Manager role, preferably in a manufacturing setting
Strong oral and written communication skills, excellent project management, problem solving, interpersonal and analytical skills, and ability to work in a team environment.
Demonstrated competence in coaching leaders at all levels, employee relations and knowledge of employment laws (i.e. EEOC guidelines, FLSA and ADA) required.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong project management skills.
Ability to make recommendations for changes in approach, concepts, and the design of solutions as a member of a team.
Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Proficiency with HRIS systems, preferably Workday
HR certification is a plus (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) is
