About the role
We are looking for experienced Domestic Assistants to join our friendly team based at the Centre of Wellbeing in Craigmillar. There are two vacancies available, one morning and one afternoon role, with the exact hours to be confirmed. The role will include: - Open and /or lock up and alarm Centre of Wellbeing Buff floors on the ground floor Clean office, conference, training and kitchen facilities on a daily basis Dust/polish surfaces and vacuum carpets Clean toilets and wash hand basins daily Empty recycling and rubbish bins Wash doors, skirtings, woodwork and radiators Report faulty equipment Maintain an awareness of Thistle Foundation's Health & Safety Regulations Work flexibly with the other team members to ensure the requirements of the domestic service are met. This will include covering for other team members' absence Attend and actively participate in supervision, appraisals, team and general meetings and training Undertake any further duties deemed necessary by the Facilities Manager or Facilities Coordinator Do you have the following experience and skills? Previous cleaning experience, particularly of using small floor buffers, is desirable Excellent customer service skills and professional approach An ability to use initiative in cleaning Good communication skills An ability to work as part of a team A highly practical, hands-on approach Responsible attitude to time management and attendance Understanding and empathy with the organisation's aims and values
