Prepare and manage end‑to‑end import and export shipment files in line with internal procedures.
Ensure all required documentation is received, validated and retained correctly, including:
Commercial invoices
Packing lists
Transport documentation
Supporting customs and compliance data
Check documents for accuracy, consistency and completeness prior to clearance or dispatch.
Import activities
Prepare and issue clearance instructions to brokers or forwarders in line with agreed processes.
Validate key import data including commodity code, customs value, quantity, Incoterms, CPC and EORI details.
Identify missing, inconsistent or unclear information and liaise with internal stakeholders or external partners to resolve issues.
Escalate issues that cannot be resolved within standard process or delegated authority.
Export activities
Check exports against licence requirements and export declarations.
Support proof of export and VAT evidence checks.
Ensure final documentation and declaration records are retained in accordance with record‑keeping requirements.
Support amendments or corrections where required and update shipment records accordingly.
Registers, queries & record keeping
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date import and export registers, including shipment status, documentation and correspondence.
Respond to routine queries from brokers, forwarders and internal stakeholders, providing corrected or missing information promptly to avoid delays.
Support document retrieval for follow‑up queries, reconciliations or audit requests.
Quality, control & escalation
Ensure shipment files are complete and properly closed out.
Highlight recurring issues, data quality concerns or process inefficiencies to senior team members.
Work within defined procedures and delegated authority, escalating technical, unusual or higher‑risk matters appropriately.
Key requirements
Applicants should have experience in import/export operations, logistics, or international trade administration, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
You will demonstrate:
A clear understanding of import and export documentation and customs processes
Strong attention to detail and disciplined record keeping
Confidence identifying missing or inconsistent shipment information
Ability to follow defined procedures and escalate appropriately
Effective communication with internal stakeholders, brokers and forwarders
Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple shipments in parallel
Training and support will be provided to develop technical capability and familiarity with Renishaw systems and processes.

Renishaw is currently looking for an Import / Export Coordinator to join a dynamic logistics & compliance function. You will be responsible for the accurate execution of day‑to‑day import and export activity in line with procedures and customs regulatory requirements.
As an Import / Export Coordinator, you will ensure shipment data, documentation and records are complete, accurate and properly controlled to support timely customs clearance and audit‑ready outcomes.
