Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities for the plant, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and key performance indicator (KPI) reporting.
Prepare and analyze monthly financial results, providing clear and actionable insights on variance drivers against the forecast
Track financial trends, assess risks and opportunities, and support action plans to improve plant financial performance.
Maintain and manage standard cost systems, including product costing, bills of materials (BOMs), routings, labor rates, and overhead rates.
Lead the annual cost roll process and ensure accurate implementation of new cost standards.
Perform standard versus actual cost analysis and margin analysis
Own and administer inventory management processes, including cycle count programs and physical inventory counts.
Ensure accurate and timely recording of inventory transactions and reconciliations.
Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions in collaboration with Production and Supply Chain.
Manage fixed asset accounting for the plant, including asset capitalization, depreciation, retirements, transfers, and asset reconciliations.
Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure compliance with company capitalization policies.
Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, internal controls, applicable accounting standards, and Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) requirements.
Support internal and external audits, identify control deficiencies, develop remediation plans, and track corrective actions to completion.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
Minimum 5 years of relevant and progressive finance/accounting experience.
Experience working within a manufacturing environment is required.
Strong cost accounting experience preferred.
Strong working knowledge of ERP systems; experience with SAP and OneStream.
Proven experience in cost accounting, inventory management, cycle counts, and manufacturing variance analysis.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to present data and translate results into actionable insights.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong data analysis and reporting capabilities.
Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering.
Continuous improvement mindset with a demonstrated ability to challenge processes and drive efficiency.
Expected Base Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000.
