Additional Information
Equifax is where you can power your possible. If you want to achieve your true potential, chart new paths, develop new skills, collaborate with bright minds, and make a meaningful impact, we want to hear from you.
Equifax is seeking creative, high-energy and driven software engineers with hands-on development skills to work on a variety of meaningful projects. Our software engineering positions provide you the opportunity to join a team of talented engineers working with leading-edge technology. You are ideal for this position if you are a forward-thinking, committed, and enthusiastic software engineer who is passionate about technology.
Stepping into a Senior UI/UX Engineer role is about more than just moving pixels or writing clean CSS; it's the bridge between high-level design vision and technical execution. At this level, you aren't just following a kit-you're likely the one building and maintaining the kit.
1. Architectural Leadership & Design Systems
As a senior, you are the guardian of consistency. You don't just build components; you build the systems that build components.
Design System Governance: Developing and maintaining a scalable design system (e.g., using Storybook, Figma, and React/Vue).
Component Architecture: Ensuring UI components are modular, reusable, and performant across different platforms.
Tooling & Workflow: Setting up the pipeline between design handoff tools (like Figma) and the codebase to reduce "friction" between departments.
2. User-Centric Technical Execution
You are responsible for ensuring that the final product feels as good as it looks.
Advanced Frontend Implementation: Writing high-quality, semantic HTML, modern CSS (Tailwind, CSS-in-JS, or SCSS), and robust JavaScript.
Micro-interactions & Motion: Using libraries like Framer Motion or GSAP to implement animations that guide the user rather than just "looking cool."
Accessibility (a11y): Leading the charge on WCAG compliance. You ensure the app is usable by everyone, including those using screen readers or keyboard navigation.
3. Strategy & UX Discovery
Seniors are often involved long before the first line of code is written.
Prototyping: Creating high-fidelity functional prototypes to test complex logic or user flows before full-scale production.
User Research Translation: Taking raw data from user testing and figuring out the most technically efficient way to solve the identified pain points.
Bridging the Gap: Acting as the "translator" between the Design team (who focus on the why and what ) and the Engineering team (who focus on the how ).
4. Mentorship & Quality Control
At this level, your impact is measured by the growth of those around you.
Code & Design Reviews: Providing constructive feedback on both UI aesthetics and frontend code quality.
Best Practices: Establishing standards for responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and performance optimization (like minimizing Layout Shifts).
