Your Opportunity Our Hamilton office is looking for a Senior Administrative Professional to join its team. This is a new role, and the successful candidate will own the following responsibilities: Lead preparation of client invoices using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Workday Ability to learn and prepare ISED government claims and conscious of strict deadlines General Administrative duties include but are not limited to: photocopying, scanning, typing various documents, mass mailing Lead workflow software/systems including tracking and reporting Assist with greeting clients when appropriate Ad hoc reporting as required Client interaction to support information requests and follow-ups Comfortable using various databases and able to learn and adapt to custom software (such as Workday, Ascend) Perform other duties as assigned How do we define success for your role? You demonstrate BDO's core values through all aspect of your work: Integrity, Respect and Collaboration You identify, recommend, and are focused on effective service delivery to our clients You share in an inclusive and engaging work environment that develops, retains and attracts talent You actively participate in the adoption of digital tools and strategies to drive an innovative workplace You grow your expertise through learning and professional development Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge You have two years of working experience in an administrative or similar role You have an Office Administration diploma or other relevant education an asset Prior working experience at a professional services firm an asset Knowledge of the insolvency software Ascend an asset You have thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office computer programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook) You have the ability to prioritize workload and the flexibility to manage multiple tasks You are able to work quickly and take on more responsibilities over time You have the ability to work in a deadline-driven work setting and deal with confidential information You have strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills both written and oral You value teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work You have excellent written and oral communication The compensation range for this role is $45,000 to $75,000 annually.
