Module: BUIL 1 3 14 Management and Leadership in Construction This course will introduce you to key aspects of management and leadership in a construction environment. The objectives of this course are to develop your understanding of general management theories and their application in the construction industry. You will also develop your knowledge of organisational structure leadership approaches and team dynamics and supply chain management. Topics covered in the course include: An introduction to management theories The Australian Construction Context- Organizational Structure and the contemporary workplace Contemporary issues: ethical behaviour and social responsibility; organisational environment and diversity Leading and managing change Procurement and project teams Communication and interpersonal skills Classes are mostly conducted during the day between 8.30am to 6.30pm or weekday evening from 7.00pm to 10.00pm . Teaching information: - To teach the 6 required sessions of 3-hr lectures - To set, coach and mark assessments Job Requirements - Possess a Master's Degree or professional qualification in the relevant discipline. - Have at least 5 years of related working experience. - Have at least 2 years of relevant teaching experience at tertiary level. - Able to teach 6 required sessions once a week, either on weekday evening or Saturday - To set, coach and mark all pieces of assessments We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
