A minimum of 4 years of clinical practice (inpatient & outpatient) experience in cardiovascular medicine, cardiovascular medicine sub-specialty, or cardiac surgery. Preference will be given to candidates with core background in cardiovascular care and ICU care with extensive clinical experience
Acute Care NP certification; will consider certification as AGNP or FNP
Minimum Education:
Advanced Practice Nurse: Master's Degree or higher in Nursing from a nationally accredited organization.
Physician Assistant: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies from an ARC-PA-accredited organization.

The Medical College of Wisconsin's Division of Cardiology is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide specialty medical care in Interventional Cardiology within a Hybrid (Outpatient & Inpatient) setting.
This position is located at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee . The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team who will contribute to excellence in program administration, patient care, patient safety, research, quality improvement, and teaching. As a member of the Structural program, this APP will provide a broad range of diagnostic & therapeutic services for patients of the blended services (inpatient & outpatient).
Position Highlights:
Provide exceptional & compassionate care to hospital & clinic patients
Coordinate & oversee the overall clinic process, ensuring that patient flow is smooth
Partner with Medical Director to ensure Structural program development & maintenance is in alignment with ACC/AHA guidelines & STS registry requirements
Provide inpatient support for valve patients in the ICU and Cardiology floor
See new patient referrals, outpatient follow-ups, and inpatient consults
Perform procedures beyond core as identified by outpatient Cardiology services
Collaborate with the structural heart team to ensure efficient progression of patients through the evaluation process
Facilitate patient screening & enrollment in clinical trials
Schedule:
Full time, 1.0 fte
Hours may vary, and will range from Monday - Friday, 7 am - 4 pm, with occasional additional hours based on clinical needs. Requires flexibility to work evening &/or weekend hours in the future based on business needs.
