This role is focused on providing specialist speech and language therapy services to individuals with learning disabilities. What your responsibilities will be for this Speech and Language Therapy role? As a Band 6 Locum Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering specialist assessment and intervention services to individuals with learning disabilities, with a particular emphasis on dysphagia. Your duties will include conducting detailed assessments of communication and swallowing difficulties, developing and implementing tailored therapy plans, and monitoring and reviewing patient progress to ensure optimal outcomes. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide integrated care, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to address complex needs. Additionally, you will engage with patients and their families to provide education and support regarding communication and swallowing management. Your role will be based at Fox View Hub, and while the position is primarily site-based, you may need to travel occasionally within the area.
