The successful candidate will serve as a Windows Systems Engineer reporting to the Infrastructure Management Division. This is a day shift position responsible for providing enterprise-level support and administration of Windows and virtualization platforms. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Keep Supervisors and Managers informed of existing or potential issues in a timely manner. - Interact professionally and effectively with users, peers, and vendors. - Provide Windows Server support for both physical and virtual servers. - Configure, administer, and support Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022, and 2025 environments. - Provide technical support, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and problem resolution; perform Windows Server maintenance activities. - Provide 24/7 operational support to resolve complex technical issues. - Perform Windows systems administration duties. - Troubleshoot and resolve operating system, disk space, and memory issues. - Manage and troubleshoot multiple large-scale VMware environments. - Manage and support VMware and Hyper-V infrastructure platforms. - Manage and troubleshoot servers in cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure). - Work assigned incidents and service requests; create and manage change records for system modifications, upgrades, and maintenance activities. - Resolve complex technical operational problems. - Serve as a technical resource for the Enterprise Windows Operations team. - Perform special projects and initiatives as assigned. HOURS/SHIFT Day - Due to the necessary technical duties of this position in a 24/7 operation, candidate may be required to work various shifts such as weekends and/or nights/evenings. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college, and two years of satisfactory full-time (not classroom based) experience in local area network and/or wide area network planning, design, configuration, installation, implementation, troubleshooting, integration, performance monitoring, maintenance, enhancement, and security management; or 2. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and six years of satisfactory full-time (not classroom based) information technology experience of which at least 2 years must have been as described in "1" or 3. A satisfactory equivalent of education and/or experience equivalent to "1" or "2" above. Education may be substituted for experience on the basis that 30 undergraduate semester credits from an accredited college is equivalent to 6 months of experience. A master's degree in computer science or a related field from an accredited college may be substitute for one year of experience. However, all candidates must have at least one year of satisfactory (not classroom based) full-time information technology experience as described in "1" above.
